During your recovery period, a special garment will need to be worn around the chest to help manage to swell and provide additional support. Swelling, bruising, and some discomfort are to be expected following thesurgery but will subside over the coming weeks. Over-the-counter medication can be used to address any pain or discomfort. Most patients are able to resume a majority of their normal activity after a week or two of recovery. Strenuous activity will need to be avoided for at least 4 to 6 weeks.
